IBQ operations manager wins QBA award

Abeer al-Emadi, operations manager at IBQ, has won the ‘Leadership’ award at the Qatari Businesswomen Awards 2011 which was held recently in Doha.
The annual awards ceremony, organised by the Qatar Businesswomen Association, aims at recognising leading business talent and achievements of female entrepreneurs in the country.
George Nasra, managing director of IBQ said: “Abeer has excelled in her role as operations manager of IBQ. It has therefore come as a no surprise to hear that she was selected out of the 10 finalists for the Qatari Businesswomen Awards – for the professional category to win the ‘Leadership Award.”
Al-Emadi said: “IBQ has provided me with the necessary training, development and the platforms to enhance my skills, talent and knowledge and be recognised at this prestigious event. This is certainly a huge motivational factor for me and my colleagues to give back a lot more to the bank.”
