Leslie Garcia-Moica   and  André Jacques

Two experienced sales and marketing professionals - André Jacques and Leslie Garcia-Moica - have joined The St. Regis Doha as director of sales and marketing, and director of public relations, respectively.
Jacques brings over 15 years of international hotel sales experience. He most recently served as director of sales and marketing at The St. Regis Washington, DC. As part of his achievements, Jacques led the repositioning of the property as Washington’s leading luxury hotel following an 18-month multimillion renovation.
Jacques first joined Starwood Hotels and Resorts in 2000 as director of sales and marketing of the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas - voted Australia’s best luxury resort in 2005.
Jacques’s worldwide sales experience and in-depth understanding of The St. Regis guests’ need will be valuable assets in leading the team towards positioning the hotel as the finest address in Qatar.
Also joining the team is Leslie Garcia-Moica, the new director of public relations. Garcia-Moica was previously director of communications at Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa, Maldives. As part of the pre-opening team, she played a key role in positioning the resort as an exclusive luxury retreat for well-travelled holidaymakers. Prior to that, she worked for top luxury properties in Paris, France and Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Garcia-Moica’s knowledge of high-end luxury hospitality in different markets and her previous pre-opening experience will prove to contribute to the success of The St. Regis Doha.
“The St. Regis Doha is bringing together a family of highly-experienced, internationally-seasoned experts to deliver the best possible experience for our guests and to ensure that everyone in the region is aware of the uncompromising care and courtesy available at our hotel”, said Tareq Derbas, general manager, The St. Regis Doha.
The build-up to the grand opening of The St. Regis Doha will be one of the highlights of the social calendar in Qatar in 2012, with a full calendar of events and culinary experiences planned.
