Ooredoo has announced that it is working with Aspire to enable the Ramadan Sports Festival, which this year will run from today to June 2.
The event will take place across various Aspire venues and has been designed to “ensure everyone can enjoy the sporting festivities and avoid the summer heat.”
The two-week festival features 12 activities in total that range from sports competitions to physical challenges and will be available for athletes and people of all ages.
As a partner of the event, Ooredoo will be raising awareness of the festival, as well as the importance of maintaining fitness levels during summer on its social media channels. An Ooredoo team will also be participating in the festival’s basketball, volleyball and cricket competitions.
Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, Ooredoo Director of PR and Corporate Communications, said, “Summer can be a difficult time to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which is why it’s so important for us to work with Aspire to bring events like these to Qatar. We are delighted to be supporting the 7th annual Aspire Ramadan Sports Festival and encourage everyone to go along, get involved and cheer on the teams. Events start at 9.30pm to midnight, and there is something for all ages and abilities.”
The 2018 Aspire Ramadan Sports Festival will include a host of activities such as football, volleyball, basketball, cricket, hockey, table tennis, and many more.
