Visitors at the education exhibition yesterday
The Indian Education Exhibition 2012, which began yesterday at Regency Hall near The Mall roundabout, features more than 100 institutions offering over 300 programmes.
Being held for the third consecutive year in Qatar, the event offers information about a variety of professional and vocational courses that Indian students can pursue in reputable institutions back home.
Information is available on undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in various disciplines, including medicine, engineering, business management, marketing and communications, arts and science, hospitality and hotel management and allied health sciences. All the participating institutes are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education, University Grants Commission and government bodies concerned.
The institutions include international schools, universities, deemed universities, engineering colleges, medical colleges, management schools, distance education, pharmacy and nursing, bio-informatics, information technology, colleges offering higher education in arts and science, hotel management and catering technology, post graduation and research, diploma studies and those offering specialised
programmes.
The exhibition, which concludes today, offers free educational counselling, registration and admissions from school education to research programmes.
The event is organised by Indus Fairs & Events (India), and Apex Business Solutions, Qatar. Indus Group organises trade shows and exhibitions in India and abroad.
The timing is from 3pm to 9pm. Entry is free.
