PPFQ executive members with the ambassador at the seminar
The Pakistani Professionals Forum Qatar (PPFQ) has organised a seminar on the topic “Qatar Vision 2030 – Role of Pakistani Professionals” at the Diplomatic Club.
A large number of Pakistani professionals from various industry sectors took part.
Dr Sheikh Mohammad bin Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani, the director of the Public Health Department, was the chief guest.
Among the dignitaries who attended the programme were Ambassador of Pakistan Mohamed Sarfraz Khanzada, Shaikha Yousef Hassan al-Jufairi and Dr Mansoor Abbas Rizvi, community welfare attaché at the embassy.
PPFQ secretary-general Shabber Ali opened the meeting by welcoming the guests and providing a brief outline of the PPFQ’s aims and objectives.
Chairman Dr Mazhar Monga expressed his determination to bring all Pakistani professionals under the forum.
“The PPFQ, a non-political, non-profit, voluntary, social forum aims to bring together dedicated people who have serious interest in developing and promoting the activities of Pakistani professionals in Qatar,” he said.
President Adnan Kirmani said that the PPFQ is based on four broad “pillars”: professional development and networking events, local community support, cultural and social programs, and charity initiatives.
Badar Sohail Khan, special adviser to the PPFQ, presented an overview of what the Qatar Vision 2030 stands for and how Pakistani professionals can contribute towards its realisation.
Khan emphasised on the need to keep abreast with the developments in and around the country.
He said that all Pakistanis living abroad should work with a unified approach as they are the ambassadors of their country, and Qatar being at the forefront of various global initiatives, it is pertinent that a professional and energetic image is built and propagated based on excellence and hard work.
The presentation ended with the audience pledging their support to help make the Qatar National Vision 2030 a reality.
The presentation included a Question and Answer session, moderated by Kirmani.
Dr Mohammed al-Thani thanked the forum for holding the event.
He said that Pakistanis working in Qatar have a bright future.
Ambassador Khanzada, who is also the patron-in-chief of the PPFQ, promised his full support to the initiatives planned by the forum.
PPFQ vice-president (Operations) Tariq Jilani proposed a vote of thanks. Mementos were presented to the chief guest and other VIPs.
