The school, which used the Philippine Curriculum integrated with Singaporean and Montessori teaching methods, celebrated the achievement of Amomoy, who was recently placed as runner-up in a global art competition.
Participating in the annual “Health, Safety and Environment” drawing competition sponsored by Transfield Services, Keanne managed to beat entrants from Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, India and other countries in the Gulf, to finish runner-up in the 7-9 years age category.
The ceremony was attended by the owner and chairperson of the school, Sheikha Ema Qubrosi, as well as principal Cary Yasir Aragat and other officials.
A Transfield Services representative also attended the event and gave a speech about the competition.
“The event was even more special as Keanne’s parents were there to share their happiness,” said principal Aragat, adding that “Keanne’s classmates rendered a special number and a smart game challenge on health, safety and environment was held both for teachers and students”.
Amomoy received a plaque of recognition and a token of appreciation from the school’s management, who expressed their commitment to supporting and encouraging their students to be globally aware and competitive.
