French delegation at the event hosted by IBQ

IBQ hosted a French business delegation to a networking dinner at the Four Seasons here where the bank’s senior management presented key insights on Qatar and its economic environment highlighting major investment opportunities for further building bilateral relations between both countries.
The French delegation was invited to the dinner in order to pave the way for increased business avenues across various industries. Attending the dinner were high-level officials from IBQ representing the Corporate Banking division in addition to representatives of the French Chambers of Commerce and Industry from different regions of France, UBIFRANCE and the French Embassy.
IBQ assistant general manager Muhannad Kamal said, “IBQ is very privileged to welcome this prestigious delegation in Doha. Such networking events are a step towards building a stronger partnership with the French Business Community in Qatar in line with our continued efforts to establish key affiliations with leading business organisations. This event also presented an opportunity to showcase how IBQ’s corporate and retail offerings are tailored to make life easier to new comers to the country and we look forward to further similar collaborations.”
Francois Sporrer, UBIFRANCE regional director said, “We thank IBQ for hosting this dinner and providing a platform for dialogue and expression of thoughts aiming at supporting the new businesses coming from France. The French International Business Development Agency has opened an office in Doha in November 2011 and acts as the Trade Commission of the French Embassy. The decision to open the Doha office was dictated by the growing demand from French companies towards Qatar and by its tremendous economic growth.”
