The traffic diversion is required to allow for the construction of one of five major interchanges as part of Ashghal’s Al Wakrah Bypass project. Once completed, the Al Wakrah Bypass will provide direct connection between Doha and Mesaieed as well as access to the new Al Wakrah Stadium which is currently under construction for Qatar’s 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Ashghal has requested all road users to abide by the existing speed limit of 30kph for the length of the diversion.

A 100m stretch of a local street located off Al Wukair Road, near Teyseer petrol station, will be closed for three months from February 8, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced.
