Ooredoo will be the official telecom partner of the commemorative fifth anniversary Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Energy Awards and the inaugural Forum of Energy Elders.
These industry events, which will take place today and tomorrow at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, aim to celebrate achievements in the energy sector and tackle long-term issues related to energy and sustainable development.
The two-day gathering will once again bring together a distinguished audience of more than 300 corporate CEOs, captains of industry, former heads of state, ministers, VIPs and select media members.
About the event, Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, Ooredoo Qatar director (community & public relations) said, “Events like this help spark conversations about important issues for our country’s future that hopefully lead to partnerships and collaborations. Environmental and energy conversation have been a top priority for Ooredoo for many years and we are looking forward to discussing the best ways to tackle issues relating to e-waste management with attendees at the conference.”
The Forum of Energy Elders, which will be held tomorrow, is a one-day conference to discuss and debate some of the most pressing global energy challenges through to 2020 and beyond. To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the awards, many of the 30 alumni from the last five years will attend the events this year.
As ‘Official Telecom Partner’, Ooredoo will help support the gala dinner and ensure attendees have access to its award-winning Supernet.
