The temperature is expected to rise slightly over the weekend before dropping significantly from January 28 as the country will be affected by strong northwesterly winds, the Qatar Met department has said.

On Wednesday, poor visibility is once again expected in most areas in the early hours of the day due to fog. The detailed report says hazy to misty/foggy conditions are likely in most places at first, with visibility dropping to 2km or less. This will be followed by mild daytime conditions and a cold night. The minimum temperature is expected to be 9C in Abu Samra, 10C in Dukhan and 16C in Doha. On Tuesday, the minimum was 6C in Abu Samra, 7C in Sheehaniya, Turayna, Batna and Karana, while in Doha it was 15C.
