Two roundabouts, located to the east and west of Al Mazrooah Interchange, are to be removed from Sunday (November 4) to facilitate the completion of the Orbital Road works nearby.

The proposed change has been designed in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic and will remain permanently in place.

As shown on the map, road users will follow the directions based on their destination.

For those from Umm Slal Ali area, road users can directly access the Orbital Road westbound lanes and drive a distance of 4km to reach Jery Al Samur Interchange.

At the interchange, the commuters can take a U-turn and access a temporary road, parallel to the Orbital Road, through which they can connect to Al Shamal Service Road at the first right turn to access Umm Slal facilities in Mohamed such as the Health Centre, the Girls’ School and the petrol station.

To access Al Shamal Road towards Doha, and reach Al Kheesa Interchange through which they can access Al Shamal Road towards Al Ruwais, the road users can also use the first right turn to access the Orbital Road's eastbound lanes towards Lusail.

Road users from the Umm Slal Mohamed area wishing to reach Umm Slal Ali area facilities’ such as the Immigration Services Centre, the Civil Defence or the Police Department, will exit Umm Slal Mohamed area and directly access Doha-bound lane of Al Shamal Road where they can take a U-turn at Al Khessa Interchange. Further they can access Al Shamal Road towards Al Ruwais. Once reaching Al Sakhama signalised interchange road users can access Umm Slal Ali area and facilities.
