HE the Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohammad al-Kuwari inaugurated Wednesday the Fareej Abdulaziz Health Centre for male expatriate workers.
The event was attended by a number of officials from Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS).
The facility, the fourth expatriate workers' health centre to be operated by QRCS under an agreement with MoPH, has a capacity to handle 20,000 visiting patients per month.
Speaking at the event, Dr Kuwari asserted that the ministry is keen on providing residents with comprehensive health services of the highest standards. 
The minister said that the inauguration of the Fareej Abdulaziz Health Centre comes as part of the government’s plan to expand health projects and medical services to meet Qatar's health needs. She pointed out that 2018 witnessed the inauguration of Sidra Medicine, Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital in the Industrial Area and several other Hamad Medical Corporation health centres and medical services, as well as the Al Waab and Al Wajbah Health Centres of the Primary Health Care Corporation.
Dr Mohamed bin Ghanim al-Ali al-Maadheed, chairman of QRCS said that the inauguration of the Fareej Abdulaziz Health Centre marks the ongoing strategic partnership between MoPH and QRCS that has been established for over eight years in the field of healthcare services, adding that QRCS is currently operating four health centres and three medical commission units across the country. 
He noted that the new centre offers healthcare services round-the-clock in the general clinics, while the specialised clinics are available on morning and evening shifts with highly trained medical and administration staff according to world-class standards. 
Freej Abdulaziz Health Centre offers an array of integrated healthcare services, including six general clinics as well as specialised clinics for cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, ENT, internal medicine, dentistry, as well as pharmacy, radiology and laboratory services.
