Ooredoo Qatar has become one of the top telecom operators globally to be certified with the prestigious Business Continuity Standard (ISO22301:2012) by Bureau Veritas, a global leader in third party certification services.

The certificate was received by Ooredoo COO Yousuf Abdulla al-Kubaisi in a ceremony held at Ooredoo’s Doha headquarters. The certificate was presented by Pascal Fornage, head of Economic Department at the French embassy in the presence of Ooredoo executives and Bureau Veritas county chief executive Selim Kseib.

Al-Kubaisi said: “We are very proud as this achievement is a testament of Ooredoo’s commitment to deliver high-quality and reliable services to our customers that meet the most stringent international benchmarks.

“Such an achievement consolidates our position at the forefront of telecommunications globally, and confirms we are fully committed to ensuring the continuity of our services in the face of disruptive events.”

During the ceremony, Bureau Veritas lauded Ooredoo for ensuring that the company’s international management systems remain integral to the day-to-day functioning of Ooredoo across all its business processes.

The certification reflects Ooredoo’s continuous efforts to demonstrate its capability to continue provision of reliable products and services by minimising the impact of disruptive incidents, he said.

In addition to the certificate, Ooredoo is also certified for its Quality, Health & Safety, Environment (ISO9001,14001,18001), Information Security (ISO27001) and Service Management (ISO20000) operations.
