The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) on Wednesday announced a partial closure at Wholesale Market intersection from 2am to 10am Thursday (September 6).
The closure that will be implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic has been announced in order to enable the construction works with minimum traffic impact.
During the closure, traffic movement through Wholesale Market Street, U-turn and right turns will remain open in all directions.
During this partial closure, road users will have to make use of the alternative routes as shown on the map.
Road users coming from Doha towards Bu Samra can take a right turn to Al-Sidr Intersection, than make a U-turn and make a right turn to reach Salwa Road. Commuters coming from Bu Samra towards Doha can make a right turn to reach Wholesale Market Intersection than make a U-turn and make a right turn to reach Salwa Road.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of traffic change and it has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
