Safari Group’s fourth hypermarket will be opened in Al Khor by Qatar Chamber chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani on November 20, at 11 am.
"Situated on the main highway, the new hypermarket with four floors (three floors and basement) is spread across about 193,000sq ft," Safari Group managing director Aboobacker Madappatt said on Sunday.
Safari Group chairman Hamad Dafar AA al-Ahbabi, director and general manager Zainul Abideen, executive director Shaheen Backer and director of finance Surendra Nath were present at the event in the new facility.
The basement has spacious car parking while the ground floor is for supermarket. The first floor has the department store and the second floor is for food court, said Madappatt.
“As an inaugural offer, we are launching a 'Safari Visit and Win' promotion from November 20. Customers visiting the new outlet can win a Lexus LX 570 SUV without even buying anything. They can get the coupon from the Customer Service and enter the raffle draw. This is the first-of-its-kind promotion in the country and will last until January 19, 2020. The winner will be announced on January 20 at Al Khor branch,” he added.
According to him, there are many exciting, innovative and varied offers and promotions for customers with the aim of creating a memorable shopping experience.
“Safari, with many years of experience in retail business offers a range of products to suit the needs of its customers. We provide all world class products under one roof at affordable price. The advantage is that consumer can get quality products at their budget,” explained Abideen.
Safari is also planning for entertainment and cultural programmes for customers. There will be a range of entertainment and knowledge events, including dance, games, drawing competitions, children’s fashion show, culinary competitions among others.
Another mega promotion will commence from November 20 with 20 Toyota Corolla cars to be given away in raffle draw for the purchase of QR50 and more. Three Toyota Corolla cars are being given away every 15 days. The first three draws will take place at Safari's Al Khor branch and the next four draws will be at Safari Mall, Abu Hamour.
The Safari Win 15 Toyota Fortuner Car Promotion, currently underway at Safari Outlets, will also be available at the Al Khor branch as the fifth and final draw will be held there.
The ground floor of the new branch features products such as fruits, vegetables, fish and meat. It has all kinds of fresh food products, from rice, spices and sweets, and all the kitchen requirements. In addition to the food items, grocery, cosmetic products section of all brands, bakery and hot food section are all on the ground floor. Apart from Qatar's local products, fruit and vegetables are imported from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Australia and Indonesia will be available.
The department store consists of electronics and home appliance. All the world-class brands are available and include household appliances, computers, computer accessories, mobile phones, DSLR and digital cameras. The department store has a wide range of fabrics and footwear for children, women and men. In addition to luggage bags for travel, there is a wide selection of sports equipment and children's toys.
The new outlet also has other amenities such as money exchange, ATMs, pharmacy, beauty shops, mobile shops, optical shops and travel agency among others.
