In the blue and white stars of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Khalifa al-Thani, Rajeh (Jaafer Asf), the leading Purebred Arabian 3-year-old in France, made easy work of the opposition in the Grand Prix de Sa Majeste? Le Roi Mohamed VI (Gr3 PA) in Casablanca, Morocco, on Sunday. Abdulrahman al-Mansoor Director of Al Shahania Stud was present and received the trophy.
Previously trained in France by François Rohaut, the two-time Group 1 winner is now in the care of Gassim Mohamed Ghazali. Ridden at Casablanca by Harry Bently, Rajeh sat on the rail throughout the race before easing to an 8-length victory.  
The F. Sanchez-trained Ibn Gadir (Mared Al Shahra) finished in second place under I. Mendizabal, with the S. Corette-trained Fawzi Al Mels (BaseQ Al Khalediah) in third under T. Zergane. 
From the first generation of horses bred by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Khalifa al-Thani’s Al Shahania Stud in France at the Haras des Cruchettes, Rajeh headed to Casablanca off a winning return to the track in Doha following an 8-month absence.
