The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has tweeted an infographic highlighting the data required by people to register their national address.

"National address facilitates quick delivery of services from different service providers in the country and it is a paradigm shift in the conduct of judicial proceedings," the MoI said. The required data include residence, work and abroad addresses, mobile and landline numbers, and the email ID.

The MoI recently announced that the procedural and operational steps for the implementation of the National Address Law (Law No 24 of 2017) had been completed and the law would be introduced soon.

The law comes into effect as part of the strategic development of Qatar's e-government, the completion of the legislative structure for government's electronic transactions and the transition from descriptive address to the digital address system.
