More options are in store for flyers as two India-based airlines are set to launch new flights connecting Doha with two Indian cities.
According to information available on the IndiGo website, the Twitter page of the Indian embassy in Doha and Indian media reports (The Economic Times), the budget carrier will begin a new service between Kolkata and Doha from March 1.
Also, India's flag carrier Air India will launch new flights between Mumbai and Doha from February 21, the airline's website shows.
From March 1 to 28, IndiGo's flight 6E 1775 is scheduled to depart Kolkata at 9.05am and arrive in Doha at 12.25pm, while 6E 1776 will leave Doha at 1.25pm and reach Kolkata at 8.35pm, information available in the bookings section of the airline's website shows.
Then, from March 29 onwards, flight 6E 1775 will depart Kolkata at 7am and arrive in Doha at 9.45am, while 6E 1776 is scheduled to depart Doha at 10.45am and reach Kolkata at 6.15pm.
The flights will be operated with the Airbus A320.
Meanwhile, Air India's website shows the full-service airline is set to launch a new service between Mumbai and Doha from February 21. The service, to be operated with the Boeing 787 (Dreamliner), will be available thrice a week - on Friday, Sunday and Tuesday.
Flight AI 969 is scheduled to depart Mumbai at 10.20am and arrive in Doha at 11.15am, while flight AI 970 will leave Doha at 12.45pm and reach Mumbai at 6.45pm, according to the website.
