His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani offered condolences to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq bin Taimur of the Sultanate of Oman on the death of Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur at Al Alam Palace in Muscat Monday.
The Father Amir also offered condolences to the members of the royal family, senior officials and dignitaries, praying to the Almighty Allah to have mercy on the soul of Sultan Qaboos and to rest it in Paradise, and to grant patience and solace to his family.

The Father Amir was greeted upon arrival in Muscat by Sayyid Fatik bin Fahar al-Said, Qatar's ambassador to Oman Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, and members of the Qatari embassy. He later left the Omani capital.
