The Public Relations Department and Planning and Quality Department of the Ministry of Interior, in co-operation with the Reputation Institute, organised a workshop yesterday on the security reputation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the participation of a number of department directors in the ministry. The workshop aims to help the MoI present a safe FIFA World Cup in 2022, as well as observe how to enhance the security reputation during the World Cup in light of the security pillars of the World Reputation Index 2019-2020.
The workshop examined the security indicators and themes in the annual global reputation report issued by the Reputation Institute and the risks and associated efforts that can form a road map to address them in line with security efforts and contribute to achieving a distinctive security reputation in the target and candidate countries for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Director of the Public Relations Department at the MoI Brigadier General Abdullah Khalifa al-Muftah said that the workshop comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to consolidate concepts of institutional reputation, integrate them into the operational plans of different departments and committees, and spread a culture of institutional reputation at the level of departments.
He stressed the importance of the workshop in light of the accelerated efforts to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup and enhance the security reputation in line with public security plans and the plans of the Security Committee of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy.
