The 'Impregnable Guard 2020' military drill started on Sunday and will run through March 27.
HE the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem and lineup of senior officers from the Qatari Armed Forces; security agencies and a number of friendly countries attended the initial session of the drill.



The Joint Special Forces, Military Police, Amiri Air Force, Amiri Guard, the Ministry of Interior and the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) will participate in the exercise, in addition to a number of forces from friendly countries, such as Jordan, Turkey, Morocco, Pakistan, the Sultanate of Oman, the United States of America and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato).
The drill aims to prepare and train the participants to respond to any cross-border security threat.
