Qatar Airways, SriLankan Airlines and Air India have issued advisories on change in services and schedules in the backdrop of COVID-19.

* Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways Wednesday advised all passengers whose travel dates are beyond 96 hours to visit the Travel Alerts page on the airline's website for the most recent updates and information.
Such passengers can also contact the airline by sending a direct message (DM) to @qrsupport (Twitter) for assistance with existing bookings, Qatar Airways tweeted Wednesday.
The local authorities recently temporarily suspended entry to Qatar for people travelling from certain countries - China, Bangladesh, India, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Syria, South Korea and Thailand - as a preventive measure due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) worldwide. Transiting passengers are accepted for travel unless other restrictions apply.
Providing alternative options for such passengers (for whom Qatar is the final destination), the airline said they may "re-book on a different or later travel date at zero cost (new) from/to the same origin/destination for travel up to May 15 in the same cabin".
Passengers can also be issued a travel voucher against the unutilised ticketed value, which will be valid for a year from the date of issuance. Another option for them is to claim refunds for the unutilised value of the ticket by using the online form.
If a travel agent booked the ticket, the passenger has to contact the agent concerned for a re-booking for refund.
For passengers transiting through Doha, the airline said customers with onward connections through Hamad International Airport are accepted for travel. Fees for booking alterations will be waived if reservations are changed at least three days before departure (fare difference may apply).
Passengers can also be issued a travel voucher against the unutilised ticketed value, which will be valid for a year from the date of issuance. An online form has to be used for this purpose.
Another option is to refund the ticket, with fare rules and conditions applying. If a travel agent booked the ticket, the passenger needs to contact the agent for a re-booking for refund.
Meeanwhile, in its Travel Alerts section, the airline said passengers wishing to stop over in Doha can book their stay through Discover Qatar. For more details regarding hotels and/or tours and activities, they can visit discover.qa. Immigration restrictions apply for entry to Qatar.

* SriLankan Airlines

SriLankan Airlines said it has been asked to adhere to the Qatar government's recent statement temporarily restricting the entry of all those intending to travel from China, Bangladesh, India, Italy, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Syria, South Korea and Thailand, and abide by it until further notification.
The step has been taken by the Government of Qatar as a preventive measure due to the spread of Covid-19 worldwide.
The suspension extends to all individuals intending to enter from these countries including those who seek visas upon arrival, those with a residence or work permit, and temporary visitors.
The precautionary measure will be reviewed and updated as per international guidelines in curtailing the spread of the coronavirus.
