US President Donald Trump said on Friday that the presidential elections in the United States will be held as planned on Nov. 3, despite the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.

In response to a question about the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the presidential election, Trump said that he does not support the use of mail to vote and that he believes it is better to go to the polls.

On Thursday, the Democratic Party postponed the conference designated to choose a rival for President Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential elections to August, after it was supposed to be held in July.

The COVID-19 outbreak in the United States has killed more than 7,000 people and infected more than 275,000 others, so far, according to the latest official data. (QNA)
