Al-Raya newspaper emphasised in its Thursday editorial the strength of the healthcare system in the State of Qatar, which has the appropriate medical and aptitude personnel to efficiently deal with and respond to (COVID-19) pandemic.

The paper added that 12,217 people recovered from the Coronavirus in Qatar during the period from April 28 to May 27, according to the statistics, reflects the efficiency of the health sector in the country and the level of medical care, it confirms that the medical personnel deal efficiently and competently with the pandemic.

Al-Raya pointed out that the increasing numbers of recovered cases brings hope to get past the peak stage soon, as it reflects the ability of the health system in the country to deal with the pandemic, the State of Qatar was able to reduce the number of deaths significantly thanks to the efforts of health and medical workers and all parties in the country that worked to implement the precautionary measures and controls set by the State to protect the Qatari community.

The newspaper said that the high number of recovered cases requires community members to increase commitment to the preventive measures approved by the competent authorities, especially as Qatar is still in the peak stage and that getting out of the peak phase depends on many factors, including people's behavior.

Al-Raya called for everyone, citizens and residents, to take responsibility and commitment to the procedures and controls approved by the state, including not leaving the homes except for the utmost necessity and commitment to social distancing, and wearing masks outside the homes, adding that the more society adheres to the procedures, help everyone to protect themselves, their families and society from this deadly epidemic.

The State of Qatar, since the beginning and the spread of this pandemic globally, has followed a clear principle in dealing with it, and has taken many precautionary steps and measures that have proven their usefulness and represented the priorities and strategies set by the State in working to ensure the health and safety of all citizens and residents, the paper added.

The newspaper pointed out that the State of Qatar has worked to provide health care capabilities and services for all while preserving its economic position, which in turn increased the rate of the recovered cases to 12217 within a month, and get the lowest death rate in the world, this reflects the strength of the health system in the country and its availability to a stable health and medical system that can withstand the great pressure, which confirms that Qatar's experience in facing COVID-19 was positive, as it stimulated innovation in the fields of health and education and fully affirmed the state's readiness to confront health crises.
