Doha Municipality, represented by the Health Control Department, has closed a food kiosk at Al Duhail for 30 days.
The action was taken after the kiosk was found to be violating the law regulating human food control.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) said that it had received a complaint stating that food from the kiosk had an unpleasant odour.
An inspector found there was a change in the colour in the food due to poor storage and lack of commitment in marking expiry dates on foodstuff.
The inspection also found that two of the three workers at the kiosk did not have health certificates.
An administrative decision to close down the outlet was taken and implemented.
