A total of 31 certified trainers graduated Monday upon completion of the Traffic Control Management Course under the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The graduates were given certificates during a ceremony, held at the General Directorate of Traffic auditorium. Directors of several MoI departments were present.
The graduates underwent training for six months, within the framework of crowd and traffic control management, which is being implemented in preparation for the FIFA 2022 World Cup.

The course was conducted in collaboration with several departments of the MoI, such as Traffic, Rescue Police, Public Transport Security and Police Training Institute in addition to the Lekhwiya and international partners from the International Public Transport Association and Lyceum International Training.
The participants received lectures on traffic management, directing drivers, managing traffic congestion, crowd psychology, securing public transport and directing crowds in vehicles, in addition to different scenarios and practical applications.
The course is aimed at training highly qualified cadres to manage crowds during the FIFA 2022 World Cup. It comes in the framework of a three-year training programme, which began in 2019 and aims to train 1,276 members from various departments of the MoI.
Brig Mohamed Abdullah al-Shahwani, director General of Traffic, and Lt Col Ali Saud al-Hanzab, director of the Police Training Institute, awarded the certificates to the graduating officers.
