His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held on Monday expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah, for the valuable efforts made by Kuwait to uphold the Gulf unity, especially the good endeavours launched by the late Amir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah to end the crisis as well as his constant concern for the unity of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries and the interests of its peoples.

This came in a telephone call, during which the two leaders reviewed the fraternal bilateral relations and ways to develop them, as well as the most prominent regional and international developments, in addition to all that would enhance joint GCC action.
