QIIB has announced a new major addition to its mobile application and Internet banking services for individuals and corporates in view of the major digital transformation of the bank’s retail and corporate banking services.
The update includes the provision of additional new services that meet customer expectations to avail of a broader list of services through alternate channels.
The new features enable customers to use their credit or debit cards more broadly, via QIIB mobile and Internet banking. Such features include, among others, activating or deactivating a card, requesting replacement for a lost card, and re-issuing a damaged card, in a way that saves customers valuable time and efforts.
Furthermore, the new update adds new features related to the customer’s account statement and debit or credit card account statement, as it allows customers to review, issue and print their account statements, for a period of two years, through the mobile banking application and Internet banking. Customers can download their account statement in PDF format.
In an aim to target the group of customers who are minors, the new update has dedicated a new service that allows customers to easily review the details of their minors’ accounts that are linked to their accounts through the mobile banking application. The update of corporate Internet banking has enabled companies to easily review and print their account statements directly from corporate Internet banking.
In addition, new currencies were added to international transfers through the Internet and mobile banking.
Omar Abdelaziz al-Meer, head (Business Development and Alternate Channels Sector) at QIIB, said: “In our endeavour to improve customer experience and to expedite the process of digital transformation, which we have come a long way so far, we have decided to launch a number of services through QIIB mobile banking and Internet banking application as a response to the developments in the banking market and the increasing needs for remote banking services by our customers.”
He said QIIB is committed to providing customers with high-quality service and excellent delivery. The bank is investing in technology that copes with the best international standards and meets customer expectations to leverage from the digital age that facilitated the access to most banking and non-banking services.
Al-Meer said, “QIIB has stepped up efforts in the field of alternate channels with the recent major update to mobile banking having been launched last August. Today, we announce the application of a new major development to mobile banking and Internet banking services for individuals and corporates. And we will continue our efforts to reach the highest level in the banking sector in the field of alternative channels.
“QIIB’s development of digital channels does not apply only to mobile banking and Internet banking but also branches out to cover other channels, such as call centres and ATMs. There is a plan to provide digital self-services in the bank’s branches to raise the awareness of the importance of digital banking services and provide customers with a smooth banking experience that replaces the need for long waiting hours at the branches.”
Al-Meer said the more digital transformation is achieved in the banking sector, the more operational efficiency is improved along with facilitating individual and corporate customers experience to avail of the best banking services in unconventional ways, round the clock.
QIIB alternate channels provide banking services to clients anywhere in the world, ‘round the clock". Customers are able to view and fully manage the details of their accounts, with the ability to transfer funds internally and externally, manage their cards, whether debit or credit, pay utility bills and request cheque books, account statements, in addition many other services.
Customers can download QIIB application or update the current application by visiting the App Store, Google Play, or through the settings option in QIIB Mobile Banking application that they have previously installed on their mobiles.
