The  Meteorology Department Tuesday warned that fresh to strong northwesterly winds are expected to affect the country between Friday morning to Saturday evening with speed ranging between 12 and 22kt which can gust at 30kt at times in some areas causing blowing dust and low visibility below 3km in most areas. 
Sea waves expected to rise to heights that can range between 4 - 8ft that can reach as much as 12ft at some places. 
A noticeable drop in temperature is expected especially during the night and early morning where the maximum will range between 20 - 24 'C and the minimum between 11-18 'C and may fall lower in the southern and exterior areas. 
The Met Dept in a statement Tuesday urged all to be cautious, avoid all marine activities, as well as to follow latest updates through it's official social media accounts.
