The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced closure on Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange tunnel for three weeks starting from Thursday (December 24) midnight until January 14.
The closure in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic is to complete the surface water drainage network as part of Khalifa Avenue Project.
During the closure, road users coming from Gharrafat Al Rayyan and heading towards Doha will be directed to the signalised Gharrafat Al Rayyan Intersection. Road users coming from Doha and heading towards Dukhan will be directed to the service road of Al Luqta Street.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure and urged all to follow them and abide by the speed limit to ensure safety.
