HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari met on Wednesday with Almas Aidarov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the accompanying delegation currently visiting the country.

Discussions touched on the bilateral relations between the two countries, and joint co-operation in the trade, investment, and industrial fields, as well as means to bolster and develop this co-operation.

Talks also focused on bilateral trade policies and the efforts exerted by both the sides to confront the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the meeting, al-Kuwari highlighted the economic policies that Qatar had adopted and the measures it had taken to abolish restrictions on foreign investment and create investment opportunities for companies looking to invest and operate in Qatar.

Discussions also touched on co-ordination mechanisms to bolster bilateral trade and enhance co-operation in priority sectors that would serve the developmental aspirations of both countries.
