Qatar Charity (QC) has honoured the supporters of ‘Dal ala alkheer’, an initiative that allows promoting its projects via social media.
This comes as part of QC’s winter campaign, ‘Warmth and Peace’, in recognition of the efforts of the initiative’s supporters.

At a ceremony, Abdulaziz Jassim Hajji, director of the Customer Service Department at QC, honoured the top 10 supporters of the initiative, awarding them charity shields.
The list of honorees included Yusef Mohamed Yusuf al-Mutawa, Aisha al-Abdul-Ghani, Mohamed al-Khanji, Nasser Ghanem al-Fahid al-Hajri, Noura Hamad Abdullah al-Marri, Ayman Fowzi Abdel Moneim, Mohamed Ali Saleh al-Safran, Mohamed Ahmed Ali al-Saadi al-Yafei, Abdul Rahman Tayis Abdullah al-Jumaili and Saad Mohamed Ali al-Ghanim.
Hajji thanked the supporters for their contribution to the initiative. He said Qatar Charity launches new seasons allowing people to compete in spreading the word of doing good. He indicated that the competition involves sharing the links of charitable projects via social media to encourage others to donate during the season to maximise the number of beneficiaries.
Hajji added that points are collected for every donation that comes through a link a person shares, and once enough points are collected, s/he will be included on the list of honour and given a charity shield.
Some 274 people participated in the initiative, which ended in mid-February, sharing 3,750 posts that contributed to raising more than QR1mn. The number of hits on the published links reached 63,553, with WhatsApp topping the list of social media platforms in terms of use.
The honorees, who expressed their happiness with the honor, said it is a generous gesture from Qatar Charity and will motivate them to provide more support for the initiative.
The initiative was launched by QC in 2016 to allow people to promote its projects via social media platforms.
