Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium will host the Amir Cup semi-finals on May 6 and 7, the Qatar Football Association announced on Tuesday.

The first semi-final will be played between Al Rayyan and Al Duhail on May 6, with holders Al Sadd taking on last year’s runners-up Al Arabi the next day. Both matches will kick off at 10pm.

The date for the venue was announced earlier, with the high-profile match to be played on May 14 also at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, the home turf of Al Sadd.

The last edition (48th) of the Amir Cup was held last December, where Al Sadd beat Al Arabi at the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, the fourth World Cup 2022 stadium, which was officially launched on the occasion of the final.

Meanwhile, the QNB Stars League play-off match between Al Khor and Al Shahaniya will be held on May 4 at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium. Al Khor finished 11th in the QNB Stars League, while Al Shahaniya came second in the Second Division behind Al Shamal.
