The World English Day was recently celebrated by Birla Public School (BPS) across all sections on virtual platforms under the auspices of department of English.
The celebration aimed to entertain as well as inform with the goal of increasing awareness and respect for history and culture of the English language and the achievements of innumerable writers, poets and playwrights.
Beginning from KG section to senior secondary, Shakespeare, the greatest bard, and his language were celebrated through presentations and activities.
Students created posters on a poet or a writer of their choice and showcased their interest in learning English language.
Various classroom activities like pictorial idioms, crosswords, quizzes and puzzle games, JAM, and extempore, were conducted by the English teachers in their classes.
The students exhibited and increased their creativity by designing pamphlets and posters using advanced technical tools like Canva live, PPT, animoto and interactive PowerPoint presentations on William Shakespeare.
The celebration was indeed a tribute to the Bard of Avon.
