The Indian authorities have thanked Qatar Airways for facilitating the shipment of oxygen cylinders to India from the UK.
"We deeply value the logistics support extended by Qatar Airways for transporting free of charge 1,350 oxygen cylinders gifted by British Oxygen Company from London to India. Global partnership in dealing with global challenge," the Indian embassy in Doha tweeted on Monday.
In a related tweet, Indian Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said: "Grateful to British Oxygen Company for gift of another 1,350 oxygen cylinders that arrived from the UK... Thank Qatar Airways for facilitating this shipment from the UK."
Qatar Airways is supporting international efforts to tackle the second Covid-19 surge in India by shipping medical aid and equipment to the country free of charge from global suppliers.
