Katara – The Cultural Village has launched a set of virtual competitions and events as part of Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
These, according to an official statement yesterday, will be held through Katara's social media accounts and website www.katara.net in line with the precautionary policy to limit the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).
The competitions include the Katara Eid contest (Question and Answer) and the Kashkha competition during the four days of Eid.
The competitions through the Zoom platform are for boys and girls aged up to 13.
Six winners will be announced on the fifth day of Eid.
The 'Congratulations on Eid' and 'Your Greetings' programme will be held under Katara's Instagram posts and daily winners chosen.
This competition will continue for three days of Eid.
Members of the public will be able to enjoy a virtual fireworks displays at 8pm on four days of Eid.
