Pakistan International School, Qatar (PISQ) has produced "significant results" in the 2021 Annual Examination despite the "severe circumstances" brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Pakistan International School, Qatar, one of the prominent institutions in the region, has been implementing 'cutting-edge' strategies to increase students’ achievement since its inception. It aims to spark a pursuit of knowledge in students so that they keep on learning and become a valuable part of society. In this connection, the school induces the latest tools and technology-based plans to cater to the contemporary needs of learners. Owing to its timely planning and up-to-date strategies, the students of PISQ produced marvellous academic results in the Annual Examination, 2021, in spite of the severe constraints caused by the Covid-19 pandemic," the school said in a press statement.

The details of the Boys' Wing Annual Results are as follows:

Abdul Rafay Noor Tahir from Grade VII took the overall first position in the Boys' Wing with a score of 98.15%, while Ahmad Hossam from Grade V took parallel first position with a score of 98.17%. Hasnain Arshad (VI) stood second with 98.04% marks and Yassin Essam Ragab (V) won the parallel second position by getting 98.1% marks. Shahwaiz Tahir (VI) stood third in the whole wing by securing 98.02% marks.

In Grade V, Mohamed Emam Shafique, Mohamed Sanan and Daniyal Khurram stood first, second and third by getting 97.94%, 97.74% and 97.33% marks respectively, whereas Ahmad Hossam, Yassin Essam Ragab and Yahia Abdel Rahman notched the Parallel first, second and third positions, respectively.

In Class VI, Hasnain Arshad (98.04%), Shahwaiz Tahir (98.02%) and Mohamed Rayyan Rahat (96.19%) were declared the top three position holders, respectively.

The Grade VII toppers were Abdul Rafay Noor Tahir (98.15%), Abdul Basit (97.45%) and Anas Faisal (97.35%), whereas Huzaifa Ahmed (97.11%), Saif Raza Naqvi (96.79%) and Shehryar Najam (96.52%) got the first, second and third positions, respectively, in Grade VIII.

In the Evening Classes, Aslam Sarwar (88.23%), M Ilyas (92.08%), Ahmed Syed (90.70%) and Fahad Mehmood (96.28%) topped Grade V, VI, VII and VIII, respectively.

The details of the Girls Wing Annual Results are as follows:

Ahlam Rashid (VIII) grabbed the overall first position in the entire wing by securing 98.77% marks. Ayesha Rashid (V) got the second position by securing 98.62% marks and Duaa Fatima (V) bagged the third position by getting 98.54% marks.

According to the class-wise positions, Ayesha Rashid (98.62%), Duaa Fatima (98.54%) and Kaennat (98.44%) bagged the first, second and third positions, respetively, among all the students of Grade V.

Noor Sajid obtained 98.28% marks and got the first position in Grade VI while Isra Rashid bagged the second position with 98% marks and Manaal Salman was third with 97.79% marks.

In Grade VII, Laiba Hina, Dua Amir and Syeda Maryam Rizwan secured the first, second and third positions with 98.50%, 97.89% and 97.79% marks, respectively.

The top three position holders of Grade VIII were Ahlam Rashid (98.77%), Maheen Saghir (98.29%) and Maimoona Luqman (98.16%).

In the evening classes, Abeer (92.15%), Huda Sameer (91.7%), Salma Bibi (95.72%) and Khola Baber Nisar (90.3%) topped Grade V, VI, VII and VIII, respectively.

Madam Nargis Raza Otho, principal of PISQ, congratulated the position holders and their parents. She urged them to showcase their talent in their future endeavours and continue to earn a good name for themselves and for the institution.

She also commended the teachers for their constant hard work and untiring efforts to impart quality education to their students through in-person and virtual schooling during the worst circumstances caused by the Covid-19 virus.
