The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has launched the first phase of the unified platform for complaints and reports, which is suitable for all modern browsers used for computers, tablets and smartphones.
In a statement, the ministry said this stage of the new platform aims to enable community members - including employees, workers in the private sector and domestic workers - to submit complaints online.
The system also provides a reporting service that enables all citizens and residents of the country to report public violations of the Labour Law through the platform.
The platform provides the ability to submit complaints from all employees and workers in the private sector, through the personal number or work visa number, provided that the mobile phone number is registered on the same card or visa number. The employee or worker can file a complaint by logging in through the national authentication system available on the platform.
The complainant can also add another number through the platform to receive notifications, such as text messages and email, to receive notifications about the complaint after submitting it with the ability to follow up the request and review his/her data as it is registered on the ministry's database. The person can also update the contact information.
The platform allows, when submitting complaints, the ability to download attachments, provided that the size of attachments does not exceed 10MB per file.
On the possibility of submitting a report of a violation through the platform, all citizens and residents of the country can submit reports of any violation of the Labour Law such as labour gatherings, inappropriate workers' accommodation, violations at worksites, working with a visit visa, employing violating workers and other complaints related to the law that will be available for the applicant to report and to choose from when filling in the violation data.
Among the advantages provided by the platform to make it easy for complainants is the possibility of filling in one of these data about the facility, the name of the facility or the notified body, if available, its registration number, and writing a description of the facility or entity's address in addition to locating the facility on Google Maps.
The platform also allows, when submitting a violation report, the possibility of submitting an unlimited number of reports separately without the need to follow up on the status of the report through the platform, as the competent team at the MADLSA will take appropriate measures regarding the violations submitted through the platform.
The second phase of the platform's implementation, which will be launched in the coming period, will include additional complaints related to recruitment offices, nurseries and complaints from a facility or employers against the worker.
