MES Indian School recently observed World Food Safety Day under the theme, ‘Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow,’ focusing on food production.
The school organised a special programme through Zoom for students wherein young speakers of the public speaking team delivered speeches to inspire everyone with the concept of one health approach to food safety, and to engage the public and private sectors as well as the general public, to ensure the safety of food from production to consumption.
Other activities included showing videos of fruits and vegetables to the tiny tots of KG-I and II, making strawberry crafts and having a fun time in preparing fruit salads. The students learned that food safety is important to stay healthy. Principal Hameeda Kadar stressed that "everybody has the responsibility in ensuring the food we consume is safe for our health".
School officials and teachers were among those present on the occasion.
