The State of Qatar took part in the 5th meeting of the GCC Minister of Education, which was held via videoconference on Sunday.

The delegation of the State of Qatar was headed by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi.


The meeting discussed two topics: follow-up to the decisions of the 41st session of the Supreme Council, which included a number of items, including strengthening the strategic partnerships between the Gulf Cooperation Council and other countries and groups, and developing technical capabilities in government agencies. The second topic is the follow-up to the decisions of the fourth meeting, which included the committees work plan, cooperation in achieving the fourth goal of the UN Development Goals, information security for students, addressing the Covid-19 pandemic, and cooperation in the field of education.

HE  Al Hammadi also chaired Qatar's delegation at the 21st meeting of the Committee of  the GCC Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The meeting followed up to the decisions of the Al-Ula Summit, the decisions of the 20th meeting of the Committee, and the Gulf Network for Quality Assurance of Higher Education.
