The third edition of Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF) at Katara continued to attract art lovers on the second day with six master classes, cultural talks and panel discussion, while ending the day with a cultural and musical evening.
The first master class was on ‘Future Vision of the Canvas - An Artistic, Cultural, Sports, Economist, Healing, & Investor's Perspective’.

Six international artists conducted different sessions.
They were Abdullah Yousef al-Mulla, director, Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum; Majd Mohamed Ramadan, renowned mural artist from Lebanon; Linnea Kathryn Pergola, master silk painter from the US; Masoumeh Jahanbin Shalkouhi, sculptor; Masih Ahmad Ahmadi, interior designer from Iran; and Ioannis Kaiserlis, expressionist artist from Greek.
The cultural and musical evening pulled together a huge crowd in an open air area. The evening started with a captivating performance by Neyzen Sinan Soyler, a Turkish Ney Flute Master and Turkish Ney Flute Maker from Istanbul.

A master class in session


The flute music was followed by tabla beats from India, led by Santosh Kulkarni. Celebrating the 75th Independence Year of India, colourful glimpses of Indian culture were showcased with folk and classical performances.
Rashmi Agarwal, founder and president of Maps International, said: “I am very happy to have the gracious hospitality from Katara, different international and local collaborators, and participation of numerous international artists in the festival.”
“We will end our annual feast in a grand style with a glittering award ceremony for the participants today."

Florence Biennial gallery from Italy is the participating partner along with other art galleries from around the globe including Crislolart Galleries from Spain, Artmosphere Magazine from New York, Gallery 2+ from Mexico, Funun Arts from UAE, Areme Art Gallery from Armenia, Iranian Art Gallery from Iran, Ethiopian Art Gallery from Ethiopia, Art Guest Agency from Russia and UFS in American University of Beirut from Lebanon.
