Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has expanded the Doha Festival City branch as part of its strategy to provide a seamless banking experience across all the channels by merging the offline and online experience.
Driven by the increase in footfall to the branches after easing of the precautionary procedures, QIB focused on blending its instant mobile app features with its branch operations.
Customers visiting the QIB branches can apply for instant finance and instant credit from the branch and complete the journey on QIB mobile app. New customers can open an account through the digital onboarding service available on the app and visit the nearest QIB branch to present the original documents and sign the agreement form to activate their banking account.
"Although physical branches remain an essential part of QIB, the bank continues to invest in technology for a faster service, increased security and reduced branch administration. As our customers rely more and more on digital channels and expect a seamless integration of digital and physical capabilities, QIB remains digitally focused moving current capabilities online and providing a fusion of online and offline banking experiences to make the in-branch experience more useful and efficient,” said D Anand, QIB’s general manager (Personal Banking Group).
QIB opened its branch at Doha Festival City in 2017 as part of its 22 wide branch network, offering a suite of personal products and services seven days a week with extended working hours until 9 pm. The branch is supported by two ATMs for cash withdrawal, cash deposit, and cheque deposit available 24/7.
"Customers continue to seek out in-person experiences to get advice across more sophisticated products and services. In this context, we are proud to expand our branch at Doha Festival City to continue to provide enhanced services to our customers,” Anand said.
