Dr Abdul Waseh Dharmagiri has been appointed as the principal of Al Madrasa Al Islamiya Doha, which operates at the Ideal Indian School.
Dr Waseh was serving as the dean of Sharia College at the Al Jamia Al Islamiya Santhapuram. He holds a bachelor's degree in Usuluddin from Al Jamia Al Islamia, a Masters Degree in Comparative Religion, and a Masters Degree in Usuluddin from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. He received his PhD in fiqh in 2019 from the International Islamic University in Malaysia for his research on the Jurisprudence of Indian Muslims as a minority.
Dr Waseh also served as the editor of 'Islam on Live'. He is a well-known scholastic writer and orator, and a member of the consultative committee of 'Etihadul Ulama Kerala'.
