Qatar University on Sunday resumed study from inside the campus for the semester (Spring 2022) for all students, faculty and staff.
The university stressed the need to review the schedule and the locations of the lectures prior to arrival in the university campus; and to attend before the start of lectures in sufficient time to avoid being late due to the precautionary measures in place at the entrances to the buildings and classrooms.
The university also stressed the need to show green healthy status on the Ehteraz app prior to entering the university campus, and to adhere to all precautionary measures including wearing masks, social distancing, sterilisation and all other directives issued by the Ministry of Public Health and the University's Health and Safety Department.
The university also called for adhering to the instructions issued by the concerned authorities in the university regarding cases of infection or contact and the groups most at risk, which will be announced later.
The university noted that that some courses may be taught online exceptionally as required by the public interest.
In this case, the faculty member will notify the students after obtaining the approval of the college.
In this regard, Vice-President of Qatar University for Student Affairs Dr Iman Mostafawi noted that her office will receive requests for exemption from physical attendance in campus for the semester for students infected with Covid-19 and students in contact with or those who are subject to quarantine period, in addition to the students most vulnerable to infection.
She indicated that no requests for exceptions from attending lectures for non-mentioned categories will be considered, and the days of absence will be calculated within the maximum allowed in the attendance and absence policy.
