The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported Monday, 143 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) during the past 24 hours, and recorded 49 recoveries from the virus, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 363,929, QNA reported from Doha.

In a statement, the MoPH said 104 of the new confirmed cases are in the community and 39 cases among travellers.
It pointed out that 6,776,351 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the vaccination programme, adding that 2,189 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours.
The ministry further added that 1,546,051 Covid-19 booster vaccine doses have been administered to date, explaining that 89.4% of the total population are now fully vaccinated with two doses.
In its statement, the MoPH explained that there is clear evidence of the protective effects of the vaccines, with the majority of patients being admitted to ICU with Covid-19 being either unvaccinated or had their second dose more than six months ago and have not received a booster dose.
