For the second consecutive day, a joint campaign to remove abandoned vehicles continued at a number of places in Doha.
The campaign is being carried out by the joint committee to remove abandoned vehicles and equipment, the mechanical equipment department, the general cleanness department in cooperation with Doha Municipality and Lekhwiya force. The campaign was launched on Sunday and set to go on until the end of this week.
Hamad Sultan al-Shahwani, head of the general control section at Doha Municipality and member of the committee, said that around 800 abandoned vehicles have been spotted at the targeted areas, and work is going on to remove them from the different streets of the Industrial Area. This campaign is considered the second of its kind this year at Doha Municipality.
