Members of the Changanacherry NSS College Alumni Association Qatar chapter (Chanss-QATAR) celebrated the Onam festival with traditional gaiety and fervor in Doha recently. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the association could not celebrate the annual festival during the last two years. However, the members more than made up for that by displaying their solidarity and camaraderie through several dance, musical, and cultural shows, including the Thiruvathirakali, Vallapattu, Nadanpattu, and skits. The celebrations ended with a traditional vegetarian feast served on banana leaf. General secretary Amritha Sudheesh welcomed the gathering. President Ajith Nair delivered the Onam message. Executive committee member and former president Bindu Philip proposed a vote of thanks.
