The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Private Education Affairs Sector, held the second periodic meeting of private nurseries' licence owners and managers.
The meeting reviewed the results of a study carried out by the Private Education Affairs Sector, and the relevant measures to address the challenges faced by the licence owners and managers of nurseries.
In his speech, Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs, Omar al-Naama, praised the role of licence holders and managers of private nurseries in enhancing children's security and safety. He highlighted the diversity of nurseries, their practices and activities.
Dr Rania Mohamed, an educational expert at the Office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs, in charge of conducting the work and follow-up of private nurseries, reviewed the results of the study which highlighted the work challenges and obstacles of licence holders and managers of private nurseries. The study included interviews of 58 licence holders and 122 managers, and conducted opinion polls, in which 107 managers and 121 licence holders participated. The response rate was 92% of those surveyed. She also addressed a number of challenges and proposals included in the results of the study.
